Back To The Books

Ok...finished Watchmen. A pleasant diversion.

Next up from the list...A Kestral For a Knave by Barry Hines.

    I haven't read the graphic novel, but the movie 'Watchmen' did not thrill me. I was bored. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood or have seen too many of these types of movies in the past few years? Hmmm. Yep, I was just bored.

    Having read the graphic novel now, I can totally see where someone who hasn't read it first would be bored. The film is SO true to the novel - almost word for word.

    I enjoyed it up to a point, then got fidgety myself. My favourite characters were Rorschach and The Comedian (probably because they were the most interesting and portrayed by the best actors in the film).
